Option 1 - The Chill Room

This is an acoustically treated room where everything is recorded on a high-end system using Cubase. No banks of knobs and buttons just a chilled relaxed room for you to create in. It is especially good for voice overs, solo artists and small bands.
Packages start from £25 per hour.

This room is ideal if you want that “gig” feel that comes from live recording, yet with the professional touch. The live room often helps bands to feel like they are actually performing and bring out the edge that comes with it.
Suitable for bands of most sizes this large room can also be used for general filming, photo shoots and even has a green screen option so you can even make a low cost rock DVD.

If you want the traditional studio recording experience and would like all the knobs that go to 11 then this is the option for you at Active Audio.
The Studio is based around a DDA AMR 24 with Optifile Tetra VCA Automation. Our DDA has a great vintage warm sound which is at the center of all the recordings made at the studio. The circuitry is 100% analog which gives it a truly transparent eq and musical tone which you don't get from digital consoles today. The routing facility is pretty much unlimited giving each performer their own individual foldback mix.
